Today Argentina defeated Greece 2-0 at the World Cup. We were walking the streets - the streets were quiet!! There was a huge gathering of people on a large city square with a large screen - thosands of people cheering - we kept walking - there were people in bars and cafes and restaurants and watching on TVs in shops etc.... The people went crazy with shouting and horns blaring each time a goal was scored and then at full time. It was fun to be part of that.
We shopped and drank coffee today! We bought a pair of tango shoes (for Sally) - I´m trying to convince John to get a pair too!
We´re off to Peru tomorrow and start our walk to Macchu Picchu on Friday.
We´re having a great time - it´s fun and so different.
